John began his Funeral Career back in 1992 when he was just 21 years old.

During his first 12 years in the profession, John developed his knowledge and experience. He found that making a difference in people’s lives at such a difficult time was something that he found immensely rewarding, and from there made the decision to open his own business along with his parents Mel and Dorothy. Whitehouse Funeral Service opened its doors in January 2004, and remains today, an Independent Family Funeral Directors.

In his spare time John always loved to play rugby, enjoying being part of a team both on and off the pitch, making friendships that stayed with him, even when his playing days were over.             
Now he enjoys mountain biking, walking and getting lost in the garden with his spaniels by his side.
