Dorothy Whitehouse and Sharing Together Crafts Donate £250 to Caring Matters Now

This month, Dorothy Whitehouse and the ladies from Sharing Together Crafts made a generous donation of £250 to Caring Matters Now (CMN), a UK-based charity that supports individuals affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi (CMN).

CMN is a rare genetic condition characterized by a dark brown, hairy birthmark that can cover up to 80% of the body. In some cases, it can also grow internally, which can be fatal.

In the photo, Dorothy Whitehouse is pictured with Maureen and her granddaughter Lily, from Darlington. Lily has a very rare case of CMN and travels to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London once a year for routine check-ups. Despite her condition, Lily remains remarkably upbeat and affectionately refers to her birthmarks as "sprinkles."
